IV Certification Course

 

AT the end of the training, students will be able to provide Intravenous Therapy, access centrally placed intravenous lines, including access ports, peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC lines) and midline catheters, for administering fluid solutions of electrolytes, nutrients, vitamins, blood and blood products. This includes total parenteral nutrition (TPN), only if the TPN mixture does not include any medications, e.g. insulin.  The students will also be able to flush those lines with normal saline or heparin to maintain patency; can care for the dressings on those line sites; and can discontinue those catheters.  The class will also include use of CADD pumps.

Time: 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Fee: $425 for each attendee
